After reading the recent "heads-up" on Lidl's cycling accessory stock, I popped into one of their stores last week and I'm glad I did.
Although I have more tools than enough, most of my clobber has been in storage for several months so I looked at the fairly comprehensive bicycle tool kit on sale and was surprised to find that the quality was much better than I expected. I bought it but then went on to purchase the sunglasses kit which was astonishingly good value. I looked further and bought a small hand pump which I don't really need but one can never have too many pumps. A pair of gloves and a really unnecessary cycling jersey along with a large bag of carrots later, I left as a very contented customer.
With hindsight, I did need some carrots as I was cooking dinner that day and at 59p, they were a steal.
Now I just need to build a new shelf in the back porch and label it "Cycling accessories."
