Hi all

I'm trying to source a replacement battery for a Giant Elegance Twist Ladies step through eBike: 10ah 360Wh. Can anybody help?

Many thanks

Probably the easiest and cheapest option is to send it to Jimmy at http://ebikebatteries.co.uk/ for a re-cell. He'll make it better than it was when new.

Alternatively, you can use any rack battery. You can buy them with the rack or just a fixing plate to fit on your existing rack. You'll need to adapt the fixings slightly and take the controller out of the little box at the front and put it in the new one. Any 36v rack battery that you can find on Aliexpress should work.

To give you some idea of what I mean, here's a Schwinn Tailwind that I did.

Get Jimmy to recell it with Sanyo/Panasonic GA cells or he might persuade you to us the Boston swing cell.
If it is 4 in parallel you will get a 13.4ah battery or if 5 in parallel 16.75ah battery using GA cells.
The price he gives is the price you pay.
My brothers Bosch gen1 battery with GA was £280 to recell this time last year, increased 10.4ah to 13.4ah.

If you are only after cheap and cheerful then any of these will do.
Just check the dimensions to ensure it will fit your rack.

The recelled battery will last twice if not 3 times longer then the cheap ones above .
It's not the price you need to consider but the quality of cells used within irrespective of the mah quoted.
