Funkylyn is laid up with a nasty chest infection and has taken to her bed. I hope if you're reading this Lyn you're feeling a bit better and on the mend! Maybe you should give up those ciggies eh ;-) When I used to smoke I had a terrible infection once and too much coughing caused a collapsed lung..I ended up being rushed into hospital on a stretcher from the doctors surgery as I couldn't inhale without severe pain on one side..was wired up to all sorts of machinery!

Get well soon Lynda. There seems to be some nasty things going round at the moment so take it easy. Mine started with a normal cough and ended up being kept in after a trip to A&E. I still haven't recovered yet, but getting better every day. I get to see the lung doctor on Tuesday, so might get some real feedback on how I am then, but I suspect that I'll be sent away without any tests because I'm now walking-woulnded, so not serious enough to waste their time.

Sorry to hear this, but I hope you get well soon Lynda. I'm guessing you are in England at the moment so bed is the best place in the current weather. At least you can console yourself that you're not missing any ideal cycling conditions!

Well on this cheery evidence, I suppose that you had better get well soon or else the fate detailed above may await you!

Heh, I'm sure Lyn's not that bad and I think in my case the doctors and hospital overreacted a bit, I was out in 2-3 days and had no treatment...but still.. not pleasant chest infection and not being able to do much laid up in bed.. or maybe she's snug as a bug in a rug, watching TV and films :)

Hoping you will be feeling better soon, and may consider in the future, E-cigs., as a alternative to smoking
