two new bikes to take a look at ...

Gazelle and Kalkhoff
battery 500 and active line plus
step through both

seems a variety of options around £2,300

Any thoughts/ observations/ advice regarding these makes please

Pleasure cycling, mainly roads, lots of local hills, also trails and forestry paths ( nothing extreme here) for approaching 60 yr old , not particularly fit, 5ft 7 lady rider.
Thank you

also
derailleur or hub gears

Also consider 2018 Gepida reptila 1000 (900 for 26" wheels) and Raleigh Motus grand tourer. Both are similar well spec bikes, with frame batteries, which make for better handling bike compared to rack ones. Smaller frames come with 26" wheel which makes for more nimble bike, better in tight corners. Try frames in both wheel sizes see how they compare.

If you not much into changing gears Hub are probably better option plus you can change when stopped.

Thank you - I like the Motus too.
I do not know if the battery placement will make much difference on the Gazelle.
Thanks
