hi all was at local decathlon store (asda Watford) when I spotted this full sus mtb 26" on display has lock out , disks and looks nice in the flesh so ive ordered one.
for pootling about in the summer. price seems good

if I were to add a kit, would it be better to go front/mid or rear hub moter and were would I mount the battery.

(I have ebc dolphin, and bottle battery that I could possibly use but both are front downtube vertions

thank you

I'd go for a rear BPM motor, 13AH HL battery and HL controller integrated into the battery cradle.

And me the GSM mid drive because the frame is aluminium and I don't like torque arms...

Still with HL battery and controller in the battery. :)

Don't get a BPM. You need a cassette (free-hub) motor. The BPM is a freewheel. It'll mess up your gearing. Also, it's a bit on the heavy side if you want your suspension to work properly. For suspension, the lighter the motor, the better it'll work. If you need good power, go up to 48v.

For the battery, you need to measure the frame first. I hope you haven't ordered a small frame!
