Military e-bikes
Electronic bikes have already made their mark on European cities – delivery riders swear by them. But they are also poised to have a big impact on the battlefield. The British army is trialling the use of e-bikes to sneak up on enemy positions and blow up tanks, reports The Times. Ukrainians have already shown that such things can be very effective against Russian armour. Unlike gas-guzzling models, e-bikes are almost completely silent. This means a soldier could take anti-tank weapons right up to the frontline. Currently, they are testing a £6,500 off-road electric bike model called Stealth H-52, which has a range of about 200 miles. Move over petrol heads, the future has arrived.
