Hi everyone looking for help with my freego hawk it’s a 2016 model with 15.6ah battery been derestricted so does 15mph

Yesterday the throttle lost power and works intermittently cutting power on and off as I pull on throttle starts about 14 mph then gradually power goes down then surges up again

using pedals is fine full power so must be throttle related I’ve connected my throttle to my wife’s freego regency and throttle works fine on her bike (short cable at handlebars)

any advice would be great thanks

Try the wife's battery with throttle on your bike, if ok then suspect your battery is at fault and sagging with the full power it asks.

Checking the PAS sensor has no bearing on the throttle working.
Test the throttle wiring between Gnd and 5v, one should see 4 - 5v, test gnd against the other colour wire and one should see approx.1v once the throttle is applied. If this pans out then the throttle is fine.

Hi there tried wife’s battery no difference

If left 5 mins next time I try it seems to have full power very briefly (15mph) then tails off gradually slowing right down to 5-6 mph then intermittently picking up now and then

I’ve got a 5 secs video but can’t upload for some reason

Do the test I mentioned to see if the the throttle is at fault.

Hi Nealh I wouldn’t know where to start unfortunately unless it’s an obvious disconnected wire

I’ve opened controller up and nothing is broken or disconnected
Probably have to find a bike shop
Thanks anyway

With a multi meter it is simple task, locating the correct connector should be quite simple as are the tests.

Ok I have a multi meter if you can tell me what settings to turn it to and what wire is the throttle I think it’s yellow in the controller I’ll give it a try
Thanks

I forgot one mentioned the throttle works ok on the wifes bike so the test isn't needed but one can carry out if one wants to. The fault then is likely with the controller and a failed or failing component.

Set meter to 20v dc. As the throttle works partly simply disconect the connector one at a time to find the correct one, I don't know the wire colours without a pic.
Once one finds the correct connection the wires I would expect to see are Black for Gnd and Red or Brown for 5v, make sure the connector is home and switch on bike power. One should be able to probe up the back of the connector on the Gnd & 5v to see a reading of 4 - 5v, then probe Gnd to the other colour wire /Signal using the same method. Have some one to operate the throttle to see if one gets a signal voltage of 0.6v - 1v.
