I have an ancient Eagle that has served me well. Last year I was involved in a road incident that left my bike with a bent crank and gear ring. I want to get back on the road.

Could I use off-the-shelf parts to replace the cranks and gear or will they have to be Freego specific?

The bottom bracket will the standard 34mm English thread used world wide, the current model uses square taper so yours will.
Show us a pic to be sure, but yes buy a complete square taper crank set.
Hybrid/electric bikes use mtb 104bcd crank sets.

About cheapest branded one you will find though depends on the gearing this one might be a bit low with a 42t . This one is only 8 spd so if you want 9spd look specifically for it.
