Hi,
I am finding that the back wheel is catching on the brakes on my Freego Eagle. They are Tektro Novella and to be honest I am not thrilled with them. They seem to need a lot of adjustment. I have adjusted them in the past but cannot remember how, so if someone would point me in the right direction I would be grateful. Also can anyone recommend a decent replacement. Don't want to spend a fortune

many thanks gray

There's a hex screw on the inside face nearest the spokes. Screw it in until you don't have to pull the brake lever too far to operate the brake. There may be a small grubscrew somewhere around the edge which stops that screw from moving. If it won't turn, find and loosen the grubscrew. Next, loosen the two screws that hold the caliper to its adapter, hold the brake on and retighten them.

Any branded hydraulic brake will be a vast improvement and will be maintenance free. You can buy used ones for about £30. About 5 minutes work to remove your present one and fit the new one.

thanks d8veh. I'll have a go at that and have a look round for some better brakes
