Hi there everyone looking for some advice, last month I bought a 2nd hand Freego hawk 2016 model which
has the 4mph restriction on the throttle.
My husband has an older Eagle capable of 15mph on throttle so we were wondering if there is any way we can de-restrict my bike or if it's even possible?
Thanks in advance K

AFAIK the restriction is in the programming so an older controller would be needed.

There's 2 grey wires in the compartment under the battery. Join them to get full-range throttle.
Thanks have just tried to open but the 4 screws are very tight but I was only using the screwdriver that came in the toolkit.

will try again later after a coffee!

Put the bike up against a wall so that you can push hard with the screwdriver. The last one I did was very tight and took all my strength with a good screwdriver. It's very important that the bit fits the cross in the screw perfectly, otherwise you could round-off the cross.

When I get stuck screws, I can often get them loose by using mole-grips on the edge of the screw head.

Thanks will try again been searching the house for the right size screwdriver

Is it just 2 wires needing connected by insulating tape when I do get the compartment open?

They have connectors on, so you just clip them together.

Some have to have the wires separated to derestrict, so try unplugging the grey pair to see if that gives the extra speed.

Great that's worked thanks very much for the advice everyone!

Ps will that de-restrict to 15mph or will it be faster as I see there's a setting in the LCD display to change max speed?
I'm quite happy to get 15mph though

You change the max speed setting in the LCD and the throttle mode with those two grey wires.

The speed setting is in the LCD. If you want to know how, send me a PM.
