Hi,

I am not related to them in any way. I completed the machine learning course and was very happy about the quality of the material provided. Their is a wide range of topics and levels. It is completely free.

They have announced, among others, a course on the fundamentals of electrical engineering which could help to understand what we ride :D

I was reading a few days ago about Edinburgh being the first university in the UK to join the Coursera initiative. Certainly a big difference to the short course I am doing with the Open University which costs £195, but from September will be an eye watering £635 - this does have course materials and tutorial help included though.

On the one I took, all the materials and tutorials were online. You can get help through the forum where other students and tutors answer if you are stuck.

I cannot really compare with other distance classes as I have tried only this one ;)
