Just received delivery of a Kryptonite New York Lock from Wiggle. I see in the instructions they offer free insurance of £1200 subject to conditions. This would almost cover the cost of my new Torq which I expect to collect tomorrow. I was about to spend £100+ on insurance, so I was wondering if anyone has experience good or bad with this type of free insurance?

I've got this lock, one of the conditions is that it only pays out for motorsport vehicles and this does not include pedelecs. :(
If that has changed or if you are buying a pushbike specific version (which probably excludes anything with a motor) then it may cover - but to claim you must send back the broken lock which isn't all that easy.

Edit, I have the 18mm version and It is probably easier to cut through the post it's chained to - which of course wouldn't be covered by the Kryptonite policy.
