Got a ncm 29inch Moscow want to change front folk for heavier duty ones,so can anyone tell what spec mine are with diagram and measurements don't know if it a straight stem or tapered.also if anyone can give me advice on one the would with a adjustable setting i can adjust with leaver.dont want to spend hundreds one or two max thanks carl

Drop them down the steerer tube. It's a two minute job - 3 screws.If youn want to take them right off, two more screws to separate them from the caliper.

You can use straight or tapered forks if you have tapered now. It just means getting the right headset. Many mid-priced modern bikes have the tapered head tube, but use straight steerers to save money and give the illusion that the steerer is taperd, like on a more expensive one. Only dropping the forks will tell you which you have, not that it makes a difference.

Yes as vfr has said drop the forks to double check, the specs are XCM 29 inch & are usually 1.1/8 straight steerer.
