THIS KIT HAS BEEN IN REGULAR USE AND IS ALL WORKING AS IT SHOULD. THE WHEEL IS BUILT IN A BLACK RIGIDA RIM AND IS FREE FROM DENTS.
THE BATTERY HAS ONE SMALL TEAR IN THE PLASTIC COVER. THIS IS PURELY COSMETIC AND DOES NOT EFFECT THE PERFORMANCE. THE BATTERY IS WORKING PERFECTLY AND BY MY ESTIMATE IS ABOUT HALF WAY THROUGH THE 2000 CHARGE CYCLES IT WILL LAST FOR.

As long as the motor is marked 250w by Heinzmann, it's legal. There's no limit on current or power consumption.

Wow! are you sure? I will have to sit down and read the full specs as the previous rating in Oz was shaft output, I made the mistake of assuming the new EN rating would be the same.

EN60034-1 describes how to test that the motor is not over-rated. An under-rated motor will pass. Note the phrase "by the manufacturer". It's this that stops us putting our own 250w labels on, but who can tell if it looks professional enough. The Q75/85/100 labels are easy to peel off and swap between motors.

The problem is that if people see 200w, they think it won't have enough power. 'I wouldn't mention the 200w. Instead. I'd say that its probably the most powerful road legal motor that you can get.

I have fitted this kit to my Specialized Rockhopper Pro now, a great hill climbing motor with excellent acceleration. I have to remind myself that this is a road legal motor sometimes !.

I think it must have among the highest torque legal motors available.
