I have a Currie Electrodrive kit for sale. It's got the 8Ah 24V Nimh battery so is considerably less heavy than the SLA version.
Very good hill climber. 18mph max speed. Great kit.
I've had the kit 1 month (the kit is I believe approx 1 year old) and have found it very good but am selling to raise funds for a bigger battery for my other kit. On my commute to work it is slightly faster than my hub motor kit but since I can't run the Currie at 36V I'm keeping the hub kit and upgrading that. The battery gives 13 miles range on my commute which has some fairly big hills (100m climb over first 2.5 miles). That's full throttle all the time though.
Kit includes:
electrodrive motor
24V 8Ah Nimh battery
Charger
and all the bits to fit it.
It only fits a 36 spoke wheel, which I can throw in free if required.
NOTE: It is missing the battery clamp that holds the battery to the frame. I just put my battery in my panniers so it's been no problem to me.
Price: make me an offer. Anything reasonable will be considered.
I'll be putting it on ebay sometime next week but want to give first refusal to pedelecs members.
