Hi all,

I have an old Powacycle light, which I'd like to swap with a new headlight. The red wires do not match in connectors, so I would need to swap them over too - is it safe to say red will be definitely be positive (red - red) and negative (blue - black) or should I test with a multimeter first?

Also, the old light has an on-off switch, but the new one doesn't. How would this work and is there something else I need to buy/do?

Pic attached.

Thanks

With bikes power supply wiring simply use the meter on the wiring, Red probe to Red wire and the Black to Bl/BL wire. The meter will confirm correct polarity, if for some strange reason one sees a minus before the voltage then one knows the polarity is reversed.

As for Switch if you want one then introduce one inline on the + wire along with a fuse.

Ok, I will google to find a switch. Thanks Nealh.

Looks like bike Red to Green and Black to the Yellow, one assumes the Public is a term for Gnd.
