Hi everyone. Been reading up on here trying to gain whatever knowledge I can about getting my first Ebike. Ideally I would like an hybrid style with a rear carrier and don't mind too much if it's a step through or T type crossbar. It would be for light use around the country lanes and canals nearby. There are a couple of hilly parts ( not too steep )which is my main reason for opting for an ebike. I'm coming 65 and weigh around 12stone.
Any advice regarding make, type of battery, tyres etc would be greatly appreciated. For my first bike I have set a budget of around £1800. Not vast amounts but won't be used every day so hoping I could pick up something suitable. Many thanks in advance.

The honest truth is these Cheap Amazon ebikes will do everything you want pretty well, though you're on your own when it comes to fixing them if anything goes wrong. They are all very easy to fix, and upgrade, but if you're scared of a multimeter and a set of allen keys, you'd be better off just going to your local ebike shop to buy whatever they have at about 3 times the price.

Somewhere between , where you can buy mail order and get good support is Woosh Bikes and Wisper, and even E-bikesdirect.

Thank you. Have read good reports about Woosh and Whisper on here. Food for thought. Thanks again.
