Hi, I got caught out in a real downpour on my fiido T1. I rode home and bike was fine but later on when I came to power on the bike. I discovered there is no response from motor when applying throttle or rotating the pedals. Display works fine and bike lights also work but nothing from the motor at all. There is no error messages on the display.

I have dried the bike out and disconnected all of the controller connectors. I dried the bike using a dehumidifier over night. I opened up the end panel on the controller but I see no evidence of water ingress inside the controller. I want to draw on others experience and send out a request for help on this issue. I am grateful for any help you can give. thanks in advance for replies.

When the bike is switched on with the LCD, you must check whether you have 5v on any one of the throttle, PAS or hall sensor connectors. That will show whether the controller is switched on or not. That result will indicate what direction your investigation needs to go and should lead to the solution.

The LCD is the switch for the controller, and it works independently. When it switches on, all that means is that the battery is connected to it and live.

Ok i shall have a look at that. i shall try and figure out what wires go where. these bikes never seem to come withy any kind of wiring diagram.

Do you have brake sensors? Did they get wet?

yes i did check the motor cut off switch on the brake lever and i thought through everything that is the most obvious and now learning about the hall sensors inside the motor hub while taking in what all the different controller wires connect to on the bike. 3 common things with all controllers. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/-737BDqKd1M

everything written in Chinese and no mention of a wiring diagram to speak of anywhere on the net. its as if the manufactures of ebikes don't want you to understand how to repair the bikes when they malfunction. and they place the controller in a vulnerable position by the pedals where it will get wet from water spray from the front wheel any time it rains.

All ebikes work more or less the same, so you shouldn't need a specific wiring diagram. here's a general one.

You're probably not looking in the right place... Fiido are very helpful if you ask them. They make repair videos for each of their e-bikes covering the common issues/problems they get asked about. There's currently 39 videos just for your specific T1 here.

This one shows you where to stick your probes to see if you've got 5v switched at the controller as @saneagle suggests in post #2.
