Hi all

Has anyone ever come across a situation where a charger reads 42v but is the cause of bms failure on successive batteries ( identical,)

Thanks

are you sure? the charger is rarely the cause of BMS failures. The BMS should cut off the charging current when the cells reach its set voltage (4.1V).

Agree above. BMS cut off if the cell voltage is too low or too high in order to protect the healthy cells. 42v is normal for Li-ion charger
