Punctures in any bike are a nuisance but the thought of getting one in a 20x4 in. tyre did worry me . For 3 years and 2500 miles my rides on this machine were trouble free , until today . I never leave home on any of my Ebikes without a battery powered Inflator and a puncture repair spray . In the case of the Fat Tyre the larger 150ml size of Zefal . I checked the tyre and could see no thorns or obvious damage so firstly used the Inflator but this worked only for a couple of miles . Then in with the Repair Spray and more inflation and after a few miles of running , the final pressure top up . I stopped inflating at 22 psi and 6 miles later when Home the pressure had only fallen to 18.6 psi . I will try and find the reason for the deflation tomorrow .

SH*T Problem, that I would hazard a guess at that most people who ride bikes of any sort, have experienced! But that still does not help!
About 10 years ago, I went through a spate of punctures, with thorns, in our local forest. I was getting through puncture repair kits like crazy (to me anyway!)
I was chatting to a friend and he asked me if I had kept any worn tyres, and I had two, so he said, cut off the sidewalls, and place the rest of the worn tyre (the tread parft), inside the tyres on the bike, slightly shortened, to act as a barrier between the thorns being picked up by the tyres and the inner tube.
I did this, and have not had a puncture since, as far as I remember.
About a year ago, I did this to my current bike, and I added also puncture proof tyres and tubes as well - still no punctures! BORING!!
The puncture proof ones appear to have been seriously reduced in price as well, over the last 10 years or so! Which may be correct or not, its only an uneducated opinion....
Best wishes
Andy
PS. In my experience, its usually the rear tyre that gets punctured, probably due to the extra weight - but guessing only! Which means more work of course!
PPS. You may not believe this, but I actually enjoy the repair work, when needed, for some strange reason, being most happy with the repair holding pressure when finished, and I am the "Goto Guy" for several retired Ladies in my area.
