Ezee Cadence - the bike that does what it promises (unlike most)

this is a serious electric bike, when the blurb had said 'eliminating hills' I obviously thought it was just market talk but this has laughed at every hill and just feels smooth all round, the steepest hill I encountered did slow it down to around 10mph but that was a 25 gradient

I wouldn't normally have gone for the cruiser style but it feels nice, the bike arrived with the chain hanging off and the power switch on so I was slightly concerned with my second hand purchase at first but now there's no worries

I previously owned a chain driven bike and the difference is like night and day, faster speed but mostly the hill climbing ability (my previous purchase also had a 36v 15ah battery compared to the 36v 10ah in this one). The other big difference is I don't feel the bumps any where near as much on this beast

I suspect this may have the 350w motor and be the USA version considering it's torque display

suppose you pay for what you get I'm so impressed I'm off back out!

more in depth review to follow......... (hopefully) I would do a comparison directly but that would seem unfair on the other bike

Comparisons are always better to give context to your comments. Blurting out superlatives is meaningless.
What is/was your other bike?

brilliant that you've found a bike that suits you - the specs don't mean a thing in my book, how it feels when you ride it defines not only your enjoyment and satisfaction, but how much you'll use it too.

did you buy it new or s/h? i like lots of things about the ezee's, (nearly everything apart from the way they look, but i think the swept back bars on the cadence help balance with the styling)

In a blindfold test, a lot of people would choose an Ezee bike, but people go for form and fashion over function.

Then they shouldn't be producing ugly bikes, and they'd have a winner on their hands. They look like generic cheap Chinese ebikes on a par with the Cyclamatic, so people assume they will preform similar too. Obviously that's not the case, but design matters to a lot of people. For example i cant stand the look of home builds and kits... even the best of them look messy to me. I could never part with cash for one. I know they can be very good ebikes though, that isn't enough to make me desire one.

If you want a sturdy reliable electric bike along with performance comfort and value for money, buy an eZee. If it's glitz and bling you like look elsewhere, but remember beauty is more than skin deep and taste is personal.

I always thought an electric bike was for fun, fitness and help on the journey up hill and down dale.......not for posing on, or 'keeping up with the Jones's '...........everything manufactured is designed and everyone has a different idea on what design they like the look of......vive la difference

Performance in electric bikes surely has to be of the utmost importance.....in my book....." if you aint got performance....you aint got nuffin "......;)

( thats me practising my northumbrian dialect lol )

I really like the Cadence with it's relaxed laid back comfortable riding style.
This is one I rode in Shanghai last year, such a pity it wouldn't fit in my suitcase:(

i can believe that - it has so much in hand even when tested but how? it seems similarly specced to many other bikes

after so much research into so many bikes it's nice to find a real winner

Ezee have always had superb motors, and i would say the current motors would easilly match anything else available today.personally i would only look at a kit though because the bikes all look so outdated, lets have bottle type batteriesi took all the parts off my torq about three years ago,and skipped the frame the current ezee torq looks as though it still uses that same old frame but in a different colour.update or be left behind.
