The issue of Aktiv Radfharen with the results of Extraenergy 2008 test is published.

I made a litle analysis (in french) of these results : e.bike.free.fr / ExtraEnergy.org - Tests 2008.

My first analysis compare the range with the price of a replacement battery (range in km divided by battery's price in euros, the lesser the lower investement needed).

My second analysis is classements of five panasonic equiped pedelecs. This shows that with the same panasonic motor and battery, the results are very diversified. I believe that the firmware is not exactly the same (autonomy vs assistance trade-off).

NB : Raleigh Leicester E (and his two clones) are equivalent to the Kalkhoff Agattu.

Extraenergy 2008 conclusions

The Extraenergy test 2008 says that the Flyer T8 is the touring-suited city pedelec against which others should be judged, although they thought the price was high. They also liked the Pro Connect although the ride on broken ground was hard. The Raleigh Leicester E (Agattu) at €1,800 (just over £1,400 but cheaper in the UK than in Germany) is, in their opinion, the best priced bike in the test.

I think the test results come out in English in due course.
