Hi all, I have babies arriving in the next three weeks or so and am expecting to have very little excess energy in the coming months. Looking to find a conversion kit for my delivery cycle that will help hold me at medium speed (read 12+ mph) but let me cycle with what strength I have left after handling twins before that point.
I own an electric car and holding medium speed is pretty efficient but acceleration/hills/high speed is what really saps the battery so I imagine that translates to better range on an ebike.
Any discourse on getting good efficiency and range from a

depends how far you need to go and how much have you got to spend but my bosch motor bike can do 40-50 miles if i ride at normal speeds like with m8s but on my own with a dongle i can nuke it in 20 miles and thats a 500w batt.

is designed for Bosch but applies to most ebikes with a little bit of interpretation
(linear factors for battery capacity, and a little guess of nearest equivalent motor and settings).

It certainly gives a good idea of the range differences depending on different circumstances (hills, road surface, etc), riding style and bike type. It is a little vague about some important terms (eg 'some inclines', 'hilly')
