Exighting bike ride!

This is an interesting bike ride a man put out on the internet. It's a mountainlion that stalkes a mountainbiker.

Question is what the mountainlion is up to? If it's hunting I cant se it's ordinary pray just stay and wait for the lion to attack?

Maybe it's some kind of territorial thing?

What have you done if the same appened to you?

I'd have done the same, just stayed put. It wasn't stalking the man, the lion was clearly on one of its usual routes but puzzled by the mountain bike and too nervous to continue past something unknown, so it backed off. They really don't like human contact, bred into them over countless years of persecution.

I wondered whether someone had fed the cat before and it expected food.

I also think the cat is quite familiar to humans.

If that had been me,
the smell would have kept the cat away.....
