Hello, my e-bike was stolen a week ago without a battery. The battery was charged while my bike was stolen. There is still good life in the battery. How can I sell my battery and get some money out of it? I already posted it on Facebook and several other selling platforms. Should I give up any hope about it or not?

The battery has some residual value but depends on the battery type and age.

... and of course a potential buyer will need to know about the battery holder shape and terminal placing as they may have to factor in the price of a replacement holder.

Any proof of ownership would also be useful to quell any suspicion that the battery is stolen.

On the more technical side, if you were able to open the battery enough to determine the cell make and from the BMS, measure the balance of all the cell groups, this info might increase your chances of finding a buyer.

And of course a few words about prior usage and what motor and it's power, as usage on a 250w motor will have been more gentle than powering a 1000w monster.
