Error code EFF

On a carrera crossfire, has anyone come across this one? Seen it first time in like 2 years! It was accompanied by eroor code E00 and the cut out.

Check that the LCD contacts are clean and that it can't move in the holder. They're often a bit loose and need a bit of tape or something down the side to stop them from moving.

EFF isn't in the manual. It sounds like the sort of code you'd get when the CPU freaked out.
