Error Code 30 on Volt Continental

Hi all,

My son cam off his bike on the way to work last night doing damage to the rear brake lever and twisting the LCD display. We attempted to repair the damage but the bike loses power and flashes up code 30. Tried to contact VOLT but the shop must have been shut today.

Can someone please tell me what this error code is to give us a better idea of what we are dealing with?

Error code 30 - Abnormal Communication

The first thing I'd check it to make sure everything is connected properly. Go through and check all the plug and play connectors.

I'd also look at the main cable that connects the controller to the handlebar control and look for any cuts, tears or exposed cables.
