Finding my (electric) wheels

Hi, my wife suffers from Fibromyalgia and a close friend gave her an old Electric Bike that may assist her excercise routine.
The Bike appears quite old and is extremely heavy. The only fitness gained so far is pushing it off the foot stand!
The Bike has been kept in a garage for the last few years and has not been charged up or used.
I tried charging up the battery ‘pack’, but it did not show fully charged (green light) after being on over night.
I have tried to locate a manual but to no avail. I contacted the dealer that is shown on the bike, but he could not assist and e believed the Bike manufacturer had gone out of business.
Iwould appreciate any help in resurrecting this Bike. It may need new batterie(s) or a new charger (or both). If so, where can these be obtained?
I don’t even know if the bike works and am wary of spending money on batteries, etc., because of this.
Can anyone recommend how I could test the bike or even get it serviced locally (North East England)
Any help would be appreciate, thank you in anticipation - Paul
The photo showing four bikes - the bottom left is identical to the one we have.

The battery box contains 3 x 12v 12ah SLA batteries for 36v, after a few years uncharged/laying dormant they will be scrap so will need replacing, you can either replace with good quality ev high current drain batteries as used in mobility chariots or use a 36v Lithium ion battery. A pair of working 12 SLA's wired in series (24v ) should tell you if the motor works or not.
Lithium will make the bike a few lbs lighter though cost a bit more.

Being that the bike is complete and has been left for a while then likely is that it will work with a new power source, as the bike came from a close friend prudently confirm with them that it was in working order last time it was used (if they can remember).

Thank you for the reply, just the kind of information I was looking for.
I have removed the battery pack, not sure how I get into yet!
I have found three electric bike shops within ten miles.
Will get in touch and price the batteries. Are there any source of batteries to steer clear of?ie Far East brands!

You could also remove the large battery holder and fit one of these lighter slimmer 15ah batteries that come with a charger in it's place for £170.

You will need mobility SLA (High drain)if using that chemistry and not motorcycle or alarm batteries. A mobility shop is a good source to look for them though bare in mind the price vs lithium type option I have shown as they will offer a slight weight saving and will provide much better power and discharge then SLA type.#

SLA like to be kept fully charged as much as possible where as Lithium only likes to be fully charged a few hours before use for better cycle life.
Lithium don't have be charged straight after use if they are in the 50 - 80% SOC (state of charge), but simply topped up 5-6 hrs before the next use.

I guess it has a brushed motor (two wires). If so, you can connect a 12V battery or car battery charger directly to those two wires to test that the motor works. If the motor cable has three or more wires in it, that won't work. Test it with the wheel off the ground.
