It looks like a Dahon clone, except for the fat battery-enclosing main beam. The motor looks like the Nano again, but I'd need to know a lot more about the battery to judge anything. The problem is that they've made such a terrible mess of the larger bike using this motor and advanced battery, that it's impossible to trust anything about this without a full independent review..

Since the larger bike's software is such a disaster, it's difficult to believe they could magically get it right for this one, just because it's smaller, so there's no way I'd buy at this stage.

yes thats all a sensible thought, they must have thought they had it and pulled the plug as those pictures are from a 2007 brochure, and he cant even get any of them in his shop and he stocks the big ones...all i know is the battery is in the crossbar bulgy thing (technical aint i)..and the thing i really dont like is no support bar under the big wheel where pedals are so when you lay it down the cogs dont get hammered, my edison/synergie does and i know when i lay it down after folding its the first thing i feel hit the floor..i guess ayears warrenty is almost fail safe if you dont mind taking back to the shop if you have to, except the shops 45 miles from me to start with in the wrong direction....gonna count me cogs when i get back to my synergie as you suggested and let you know how many for your thoughts/ideas..

Thanks Keith, it may be possible to change the chainwheel for a larger one to give higher pedal gearing. Much depends on whether it's easy enough to pedal the bike alone without motor help, since the motor will only drive that bike to about 12.5 mph.

erm from my experiences the other day when i did my test run to see how far it would go, (which at 12 miles , although on the flat mostly and only a slight breeze either way, i was not dissapointed at, i just have to take it out on non windy flat days..lol....) i did do a test with battery turned off and it was like towing a nag of cement...such a drag on the pedals, which dissapears when motor turned on, even if no power actually activated...

Sounds like that motor has no freewheel then Keith, that will be a restriction aginst increasing the range, but it still might be possible to pedal it faster than 12.5 mph if the motor is on at the same time. They'll usually overrun their natural speed a bit when helped by pedalling.
