Any recommendations? On the assumption I can't get a repair on a bike, I'd like to give options to my customer who needs assist to be able to cycle with family.

hmmm if they are renting out the same cr!p as the ebn has near us (old under-powered 24v hub drive giants) then i'd avoid like the plague.

I got a couple last weekend to try and convince my mum and dad they should have electric bikes, and they were an absolute disaster :( the saving grace was Martin from e-bikeshop who not only sorted out the hire problem, but also gave my dad a spin ona better bike so he wasn't completely anti by the time he got back.

they were ok on the flat, but useless on any of the bumps around hampshire, so wouldn't think they'd do well on proper hills ..

You can try a Juicy Bike on the Tissington Trail from...

Parsley Hay Cycle Hire, Parsley Hay, Derbyshire near Buxton SK17 ODG 01298 84493

Details of their electric bike hire can be found following this link.

It is possible to leave the trail and venture into the local villages - Hartington in particular is delightful and if you book in advance then a table at the Charles Cotton Pub is a real treat for the foodies. Great cheese shop in the same village with some lovely, creamy Stiltons to try (best cheese by far).
