Ok, this is aimed at mobile market primarliy but they use lithium. And they talk about 12v charging

How can it charge so much faster without frying innards or affecting battery life ?

The article seems to relate it back to the chipset used but that's ballcocks surely ?

If this is truly a clever new fast charge tech then it could be very cool for us

Imagine adding 60% charge in 30 mins. That really is a short cofee break and Makes long range travel far easier without huge or multiple battery

What do you think

My guess is pulsed charging, supplying at a high current rate in a chain of high frequency pulses. A similar method is used by chargers which can recharge ordinary single use alkaline batteries.

Basically the electrolyte rests momentarily between the high current pulses, avoiding damage due to excessive heat buildup.
