Eggrider EFF error code on Bafang BBSHD

Eggrider EFF error code, anyone had it?

After 2k miles trouble free my BBSHD has started cutting out, it looses pedal assist first and shortly after the throttle will stop working. The eggrider display will sometimes show nothing is wrong other than the power indication dropping to 0, other times the speed will show 0 or -- with an EFF error code.

According to the eggrider website this is a communication issue to the controller. Has anyone had something similar? Hoping its not water got in somewhere as I do commute 30 miles a day rain or shine! I've disconnected both brake and gear shift sensors to rule that out, the battery (52V em3EV) is also healthy.

Any help would be appreciated!

Did you test the bike's batattery?

Battery is good, all cells are healthy and voltage is stable before and during the cut outs.

Did you check the alignment of the wheel sensor and magnet if it has one

heres how i fixed it: had to buy and install new controller. 120Euro. old controller ran 2000km with the same settings, then died slowly over 2 weeks. no guarantee by windmeile.com because i changed controller settings via eggrider. so stupid.
