Hi,
I have bought a second hand eco expedition, knowing that the battery doesn't work. I have the old battery and charger. I am trying to source a new one but I believe they are no longer trading, so if anyone has a spare knocking about! Otherwise, can I buy a generic one, or as I have the casing etc, could I just change the cells inside? Thanks in advanceIMG-20200808-WA0000.jpeg

I already answered that in your intro thread. Didn't you read it?
Sorry pal, I didn't see the notification! Just read it now, appreciate the advice. I have just noted there is a fuse compartment on the bottom of the battery, with a Phillips screw. I have opened it and there appears to be no fuse in there! Any idea what type / size of fuse I should try putting in there? Nothing in the manual!

It should have a 20 amp ceramic fuse. You can use a glass one if you want. i'm not sure of the length. Try a mains fuse to see if it's the right length, otherwise cut a bit of stick until it feels the right length, then measure it.

In some batteries the fuse isn't connected because the BMS has over-load protection, though it could also be wired as the charge fuse, which would be 5 amps. Does the battery charge OK? You can still use a 20 amp fuse as the charge fuse as a temporary solution.

Thanks, the battery doesn't charge at all. All red red lights Come on when plugged in to the charger, but as soon as I unplug it, they fade and go off. I'm completely new to this, and just took a chance on the 2nd hand purchase, hoping not to have to spend too much! I will source s fuse, see if that helps!
