A chap at work informed me today that the Gadget show is having a green test on next weeks show that will include ebikes. Should be interesting to see which models make it on. I suppose it depends when it was filmed!!!

The trailer looked like it might be interesting Paul, but didn't give more than a glimpse. They haven't much experience to go on, having only tried a UM36 e-bike previously, but a new presenter joins them next week who might know a bit more with luck.

i read just a little and when i read that the battery has a 3 year warranty and thought "wow that great" then i saw the price and figure at that price it can flop after every 6 months and them send you another out without it hurting them at all......dont think much to bike look either....only my opinion though which is important...................................................to me only :p

Hmmm, watched the vid and read the blog. It looks like another missed opportunity to me. From what I read the Opti was the only production bike there, were any of these street legal in the UK?

Is this exposure is meant to be just truly pointless, if not they are then I'd have liked to have seen them up against Kalkhoff's and Wispers.

I know this show is really just for the entertainment value now (like Top Gear). I hope I'm wrong and its a little better informative wise on this though.

Doubtless excellent advertising for the Opti company though, how ridiculous, and unfair in a way to Wisper, Ezee and 50C who are trying to promote their prods the hard way.

i think the other companies should be pushing their bikes in th same way offering them to gadget show for next series also loaning bikes to reporters and such like with petrol prices the way they are this is an easy way to save money and save on gym fees

I have a suspicion that cash comes into it as well, Channel five in particular uses all the earning methods available, high cost phone in competitions etc, and it wouldn't surprise me if it's money that gets products included in such shows.
