Any one fitted the Oxford mamoth bike stand? I find now that I have fitted my yose system to my mountain bike the stand I have on it has become unstable due I suppose to the extra weight, the Oxford one seems stronger any idea's please. Thankyou.

Yeah - avoid - mine failed.. oxford brand bike bits are just rebranded white box goods..

fwiw after picking up the collapsed bike when loading up outside the supermarket for the upteenth time i opted for a £20 clone of the ?pletcher? style 2 leg jobs

it can be a bit tricky getting it to kick back up in one when the bike rear is fully loaded as idealy you lift the weight off the legs to kick back, but the 5-10 seconds fussing the stand with my toe is WAY LESS HASSLE than picking up spilt and broken shopping after a bike collapse.

EDIT btw my bike collapses when loading shopping were due to the lean of a side stand and the increasing height of the centre of gravity as i loaded up.. loading up the shop was akin to a perverse reverse game of jenga that i always LOST!

I like this type because they're fixed nice and firm, and they don't get caught by the pedals when you're trying to adjust your gears. You lean the bike towards the stand to lift the back wheel, then you can turn the pedals to adjust gears or check your pedal sensor or anything like that.
I've always preferred the stand near the back ever since I got one; much more stable especially if the bike has heavily filled back panniers. Plus not interfering with the pedals as you say.

I'd never realized about making it easy to lift the back wheel as well, though. Thanks for the tip.

Stick to ones like Saneagle suggested. Avoid ones like https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204476894161 which don't have the extra section between the rear stays. They are very difficult to clamp firmly enough to stop rotation; and trying might distort the chain stay.
