Ebike lights for 85volt battery

Good evening All, could somebody recommend some reasonably priced lights and switch for a 85volt battery. How to wire it up and is it ok to splice onto the output cable of the battery as the cable is directly into the battery box meaning i have to cut into the cable to locate the correct colour of wire.

I've just fitted one to a 36v battery with no issues, double connectors on the battery out leads, 3a microblade fuse. I suspect your problem will be sourcing a light , most I saw were only up to 60v.

I seen some lights 12v to 90v but unsure on wiring them up because of the cable situation that i mentioned in my first comment...to splice or not to splice.
Do all on/off switches come with a built-in fuse??

The link doesn't work an invalid source.
There are ones (front) on ebay that work to 85v but whether the top limit has any leeway ?
What about a rear light ?

For fusing one needs to implement an inline one on the v+ line.
If the controller has no specific light out put, take the power directly off the battery feed to the controller (splicing) and place the fuse close to the controller on the v+ line. Wuxing make a handle bar on/off switch it may take 85v but it depends on the lights current input, if it is only about 1a then I would think you will be ok.

A safer option to 85vdc which is a high voltage level to use is some usb lights or similar lights using a separate battery source from 12 - 48v.

The first three photos are of the light and switch, then followed by a photo of the wires between the battery and the lcd, then ladt two are of the wires from the motor to the battery, or maybe i am just better leaving it alone and useing normal battery lights?

Who built this bike? By the looks of your knowledge, it wasn't you. I'm really worried that you want to do this wiring and you haven't been able to identify the battery and its wires. It's normally pretty straight-forward.

Step 1. Find the battery
Step 2. See what wires are attached to it - should be thick black and red.
Step 3. take a photo and show us these wires and how they're attached to the battery and the controller.

They're the motor phase wires that run from the controller to the motor. Follow them back to the controller, where you'll find the battery wires red and black.

The controller and batteries are inside a metal blackbox which i can't get into unfortunately.

It's weird, I can never remember peoples faces, but i never forget an ebike. That's our old friend Banbury Frank, who deregistered from the forum when there was some discussion about quality and legal issues with his bikes. He's changed his trade name a couple of times. First it was Xipi, then something like Wind Bikes, now trading under Hi-Power Cycles. He was quite helpful on the forum, but reportedly not very good with his own customer service:

Why can't you get into the box? You must be able to, otherwise how did they get the battery and controller into it?

The screws are 8 pointed star shaped and ive not got the right driver for them. So basically a no go
