ebike conversion kit import price?

hi there i am thinking of buying a conversion kit from china and importing to the irish republic,the kit comes to 378 euros including delivery,can someone tell me what import charges i will pay on this?would i just be better off buying a kit from a country in the EU?

You normally have to pay about £25 to £40 for a whole kit with a battery.

I just bought 5 kits, and they put them on the paperwork as $15 each, so I had to pay about £15 for the lot.

They're based in Spain and offer free shipping. Very responsive to all my queries so far.
I presume you're talking about BMS Battery? I specced up a similar kit and ciclotek are maybe €50 dearer. As against that, you have the possible duty on the kit coming from China and the delivery might not be as quick.

It was a torque sensing controller and the battery is the bottle design.
Ciclotek are a bit more expensive than I said as I'm taking into account that I can get the VAT back from an EU company.
Still, I've just been on to them and they've confirmed their kit comes with a plug and play wiring kit and I'm not sure the other one does.

Just reread - it was the ciclotek you were asking about.

Just the standard road legal front hub kit, mounted on a 20" 83mm wheel. It comes with PAS sensor, controller, battery, throttle, brake cut outs etc. Comes with a 9AH battery.
Looks a good, albeit simple kit.
