A friend of mine got one of these a couple of years ago and all was well for the first year or so. However, about a year ago, it stopped working. Although the battery seemed to charge ok, the motor just didn't do anything. The company that he bought it from seems to have been liquidated so no support from that source. I was wondering if there was anything obvious that I could look at, or alternatively if there was anything of value on the bike for any fiddlers to reuse? It has a 60v 40Ah Lion battery pack (19 individual cells) and a 3kw motor. Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks. Would the fuse be in the battery pack somewhere?
I do have a multimeter but I have never used it and would't really know how to.

I don't know that particular scooter but there is normally a fuse in the battery pack or the wires to the controller, You can use the meter to check where the voltage from the battery fails by working your way along the wiring from the battery, make shure the meter is on DC voltage and 100 or 200 volts.
If the battery is ok a fuse, switch or worst case the controller could be the culprit.
