Models in the UK trials are capable of a maximum speed of 15.5mph.
Just seen this comment about e-scooter speed limits. Can't help wondering what the committee imagines will happen if we have speed limits by local authority?
You can imagine transgressing a boundary by a metre could render your e-scooter illegal and you would be committing an offence.
Move house and you can no longer use your e-scooter. Or end up stuck with a lower speed set on your e-scooter than your neighbours.
Or do we have adjustable speed limiters? And see them mis-used to let everyone actually run at maximum possible speed (for that is surely what many will do)?
