E Life fold up

Just been offerd a e life fold up bike 36v it's around 4 years old in not bad condition the battery was showing full but he said it hadn't been charged in a while I took it down the road a short distance and it seemed to pull well in low mode I went through the modes and it went well he is asking £200.00 for the bike would I be wise to buy it and is there a chance I could find a new battery for it if it died. If the battery ever does need changing then any generic ( 2 wire ) battery will work .
It can be a down tube , rear rack, frog type or front bag /basket battery, how the battery is mounted is what suits the best.
