Just having returned from an enjoyable ride in the sun, and having read a few rather heated posts I thought I might try something more light hearted. I was thinking of a few new slang words that might raise a smile..
To start with..
Lycralist.. Lycra clad cyclist.
Lefted... Another vehicle turning left to cross the space you are about to ride into!

5.30 am in my car weekdays I pass a number of un-lit darkly clad cyclists riding the main road and ignoring the nicely re-surfaced cycle path on there left.
I have two names for them, one is unprintable the other is Frill (future road kill)

To "Come a gutser" - To be deposited face down on the road, and winded in the process.

 

[Emo Rider]

Cowple - People that step out into traffic and cycle lanes with no notice of what is happening around them.

Twexters - People who walk and text at the same time taking no notice of what is happening around them. Closely related to cowple.

Ipoidiots -People listening to music taking no notice of what is happening around them. Yep, you guessed it. Related to both of the above.

Twalkers - Closely related to Twexters but talk and walk at the same time. No need to go on, you probably have the theme by now.

(Unprintable) - Those sharing the same charactoristics of all of the above but all at the same time. Aka Darwin Award winners.
