October 16, 200817 yr I love my e-bike and I want everyone I know to try it out. Without fail they smile or shreik "whe-haaaaaaay! I just wondered if there was anything in starting an "advocacy programme" Even my nearest e-bike dealer was 30 miles away but I was glad I went to try a couple of e-bikes for the first time. What if there were a list of "advocates"? Maybe people on here who would be willing to let a potential e-bike buyer try their e-bike out? So possibly making it easier for someone who might be interested in trying one before buying? Possibly delears or suppliers could reward "advocates" with "points" which they can redeem against, say, a new battery or bike? if a potential customer goes on to buy an e-bike? What do you think of the idea?
October 16, 200817 yr If I saw someone on here looking to try a bike and was close to me then I may volunteer my ride but if someone approached me because they know I have one then I'd be wary and probably say no. If I lend it to someone and it's stolen the insurance company will laugh at me, there's little to gain and too much to lose.
