Thanks for the reply, I will have to buy a disc and see if the holes line up . I have good rim brakes but I think the weight of the bike would benefit from hydraulic disc brakes, can’t see why it wouldn’t work either.Aikema hubs have lhs cable entry and rotor fixings for the disc, no issues at all with the operation.

Hold on. Before you do anything:
The motor only rotates in one direction. When you put the wheel in the forks the correct way for the forward rotation, the brake is on the left side. If those holes are on the right, you're out, otherwise OK.
Also bear in mind that your forks need the mounting holes for the disk brake caliper... Not all forks have them.
