I'm now building my 29er with a new 36vx500w BBS02 and 18AH 60 cell (Samsung 30q) batterypack from InsatInternational. The BBS02 has been supplied with the C961 display, which I'd like to swap for the recently released DPC-14. I like the look of the DPC-14, its slightly smaller and its mounted vertically, so it will take up less space on the bars. It also includes a power function, USB out and battery voltage.

On a serious note, I'm quite liking the voltage display and the fact you can disconnect the mode switch from the display. Makes replacing the switch much easier if it gets damaged.

Oh, and the automatic backlight display.... Mmmmmmmmm

Damn you culy30 for bringing this to my attention... In a nice way of course :p

Indeed isn't progress annoying. Anyone want to buy a new unused C961?

Apparently the power function is instantaneous power drawn from the battery, (which sounds like a function of amps and volts to me) not the actual power output of the motor, which is shame, but I guess the controller doesn't have the capability and it should be fairly close, given error, resistance and losses. As long as its consistent. As a former "cyclist" I'd be more interested in the power the motor is actually having to develop to push the bike along. I'd then be able to gauge how much the motor is actually assisting. I know my own max and average power output on a bike. (well from a couple of years back before injury)

They have gotten most of it right. I don't care much about colour. And when will we get total Wh used? Volts is good, current Watts used is what I have now and don't care so much about you kind of know with experience what you are using depending on slope and assistance level. And a clock! At last!
