I have fuses in my batteries for belts and braces.
The BMS has overcurrent protection which acts faster than a fuse.

My bms is set for 28A, the fuses are 20A. They are there in case the bms fails. You can short the battery without blowing the fuse, you do damage the connectors though.

My battery suppliers always query why I want a fuse. I explain to them that my customers prefer to have a fuse. They don't charge me extra so everyone is happy.

No, not from Google, entirely the practical knowledge of what many batteries had back then.

But of course back then many were still NiMh, Ni-Cad or even SLA still in use, so copy and paste isn't wise.

I've no idea if they have fuses now, my electric car has one in its 400 volt line.

A lot of stuff comes from China, not worth obsessing about that. In my previous reply to you, I pointed out that most big brands battery cells are made in China, bosch and bmz have factories in China making parts and sub-assemblies for their European facilities. Two thirds of the worlds chips are made by Taiwan. I assemble bikes from Chinese parts, they do the same. It's the design and quality control that count.
As for low wages in bikes, go to Vietnam and Cambodia, no longer China, Taiwan, South Korea.

When you say the batteries are made in Germany etc., is that the individual battery cells you're referring to?

It would be useful to evidence that claim.

You're showing your ignorance about how ebike batteries work if that's what your referring to. Bosch batteries don't have fuses, nor do Yamaha.
