As i run an online business, nothing to do with electric biking i must add, i am constantly being bombarded with spoof emails trying to phish personal details.
Most are laughable, and the spelling and grammar clearly comes from some scummy insectoid who has just read English for dummies.
Do they really think that Joe public is going to fall for these scams?
Or do they continue to send out these emails, knowing that maybe one in a thousand will reveal all their personal data to them?
Below is one of the latest i have been sent.
Well Mr. Fungus, i'd love to share in your glorious wealth, but on this occasion i'll let someone else take the bait

Sad though it is, there are people who are so greedy yet stupid that they find it difficult to resist such invitations.

While I agree with any measures to rid us of online spam, it always irritates me when I see on the news that the police are investigating these and similar extortion scams. Only recently we saw "victims" of telephone callers offering investments promising ridiculously high interest returns which they'd responded to with investments of tens of thousands of pounds in some cases.

It's my view that the police are not acting responsibly when they investigate such issues. We shouldn't be expected to pay taxes for the police to protect people from such extremes of personal greed, which ultimately are anti-social.

Spot on flecc!

I've often thought that those who CHOOSE to embark on such ventures deserve to lose their money, even life savings if they're silly enough.

There's plenty of other crime-fighting issues old bill could be getting on with....although perhaps not the following, seen yesterday in wildest Herts.

Temporary electronic speed recorder, visible to oncoming traffic, erected next to a concealed (behind hedge) "pretend-police" car with two "muppets" on board. Admittedly, the particular site is a good choice for a speed trap but as the "muppets" have no power to stop speeding motorists or issue fixed penalty notices for motoring offences, I really consider that to be as great a waste of money from the public purse as supplying the prats with a car!

Perhaps they were guarding their equipment....? I despair with these PCSOs.

I seem to get lots of account notification emails usually from banks that i have never used, for example account suspended sent from various big name banks, i never bother opening them, but i am sure if the correct name of bank is given, and the person recieving the notification does internet banking, it scares a few people into giving away there bank details.

I've still got £700,000 in a bank in Spain somewhere from when I won the Spanish national lottery even though I never bought a ticket. I didn't want to claim it because I was worried about how it would affect my life. Perhaps I should ask them to donate it to my favouritr charity.
