I would, but unfortunately hubs for 32H are very rare and fabricated from Unobtanium for 74mm wide Dahon fork droputs.Or change to a 32 spoke hub and rim.
I was wondering how bad the outcome of drilling holes could possibly be. I have found three flange spoke hole adapters, for specific hubs. But nothing cheap and mass produced by the Chinese.Entirely at your own comprehensively assessed risk, you could drill four extra holes in the hub, and accept slightly less than perfect symmetry in the spoke pattern. Two each side, 180 degrees apart, midway between existing holes.
Or make a complete set of new holes in the rim, aligned to maximise distance between your 28 and the existing 32.
What are you trying to achieve? Why don't you buy a new wheel, which would be cheaper? About £35 a pair on Aliexpress for disc ones if you want to convert, or get crappy rim brake ones.I would, but unfortunately hubs for 32H are very rare and fabricated from Unobtanium for 74mm wide Dahon fork droputs.

Seems the maximum width tyres my old Dahon can practically have is 2.125 inch. Was hoping to fit these Ryde Andra rims @Cadence brought to my attention on another thread:
Ryde Andra 40 20 Inch 406 Rim Black 32H
The Andra 40 rim is optimal for use with tyres ranging from 44mm up to 65mm. It is perfect for heavy load bikes with or without e-motor. - Shape: Double Wall - Joint: Pin - Tyre Use: Tube - Hook Type: Crotchet - Brake Type: Rim Brake - ETRTO: 25C - Size: 406mm (20 Inch) - Weight: 600g - ERD...www.sjscycles.co.uk
The option of fitting fatter tyres more easily on an ongoing basis, in the face of increasing rarity and diminishing range of hub flange hole options, for my Dahon's 130mm and 74mm dropouts. So far, I have found only two 32H hubs for 74mm, and one of them contains a daynamo - they're unicorn stools. These dudes probably don't deliver to the UK thanks to Brexit red tape, but of course I'll ask:What are you trying to achieve? Why don't you buy a new wheel, which would be cheaper?
Yes those do look good. With 144H, you've got 18, 24, 36 etc. possible holes, with 140H: 14, 20, 28.Or find a CNC workshop that can make them to order. The first example shows the right design idea: the recess sits on the existing flange and is a close fit. Bolted through every old spoke hole for even load distribution.
Probably stainless steel rather than aluminium, to reduce fatigue risk.
It would be a one time adaptation, so a one off cost.
Yes it may come to that. Not looking forward to the day it becomes necessary, if it ever does. 2.125" wide should be enough for my Dahon Helios, unless poholes become even larger and deeper, which of course they will. You can ebay ally plate, a ruler compass and sharp pencil should be all you need to draw an outline and hole pattern in card to validate first.. a few files a drill and a hacksaw and a few (lot off) winter evenings later
Yes it is! Thanks a lot! I have been searching it wrong! And they have the V-brake 32H version. Will order. not sure if this is what you are looking for.........
At the mo, I have 1.75" Schwalbe Marathon Plus safely (according to Schwalbe's chart below) installed in rims of 19mm inner rim width. 2.125" wide is possible. All of the dual walled Chinese rims on AliExpress have 16mm inner rim width or narrower, same or similar to the original Kinetix - my 1.75" wide tyres didn't look at all happy on those. Litepro seem to make good quality stuff, but it's a pity they only offer 16mm inner rim width 406 rims!So what is the inner rim width of your current wheels and what width tyres are you hoping to fit?
Thanks for searching Saneagle. It isn't clear from the listing if they have 74mm and 130mm, they mention 100mm and 135mm... but I could buy those just for the 32H rims. I'd prefer dual walled for stability, I couldn't find any dual walled 406 rims on AliExpress with inner rim width wider than 16mm.20 Inch 8/9/10 Speed 406 6 Claws Bike Disc V Brake Cassette Wheels Aluminum Alloy Wheel Set Rims 32 Hole Quick Release Hub - AliExpress 18

All the more death defying because of course your tyres would have become even wider with lower atmospheric air pressure at Alp height. I don't think Schwalbe have a safety chart for that. They'd need one for mars colonisation, after they drop nukes over the poles to melt the ice caps, and make an artificial Van Allen belt.I spent a week in the Alps years ago with 2.5 inch / 65mm tyres on 17mm rims. Survived.
I know @harrys converted his Dahon to disc brakes, on a thread somewhere, and now that @esuark has magically found 32H hubs for disc brakes on AliExpress (how!?? I can never find anything I'm looking for using AliExpress's unSearch engine!), a fat tyred disc braked Dahon Helios on wide Ryde Andra rims could be a viable option. Might just be the rear wheel, mind you @Sturmey converted his front fork to disc brake using an adapter too (or was it the rear? Can't recall. Deffo was a different adapter to @harrys).About £35 a pair on Aliexpress for disc ones if you want to convert, or get crappy rim brake ones.
use Google to search for them on Aliexpress. It understands what you want and searches for it, unlike the Aliexpress search that used to be good, but somehow they ruined it.I know @harrys converted his Dahon to disc brakes, on a thread somewhere, and now that @esuark has magically found 32H hubs for disc brakes on AliExpress (how!?? I should have, but a sense of futility got to me. Things is, those bar steward merchants of cheap tat have stuffed every page with so many extraneous keywords, or advertisers have paid for too many keyword listings (sponsored ads are not marked on AliExpress), even Google is discombobulated. With this search just now, I had to trawl to Page four to find the first vaguely useful result! And is it a 32T 74mm hub? Hell no! I wondered if the AliExpress unSearch enine works better in Chinese, doubt it, tried that at one point.use Google to search for them on Aliexpress.
