Nuts...when two hobbies collide...

 

For those not in to drones DJI are to drones what Apple are to phones, top end gear with a top end price. They also sell component spares that not everyone else does (eg Potensic).

 

The cheaper drone makers Potensic / Holy Stone / Fimi etc. offer similar functionality but significantly cheaper and also make some great products.

 

DJI have been diversifying past 6months since the US government announced they are in process of closing them down from selling drones or drone parts in the US.

 

These motors will be scaring likes of Bafung as probably they never saw this coming and DJI have the money and tech behind them to cause all the other manufacturers a lot of problems.

 

I imagine their ebike will be pretty good too given their history of quality, issue will be the price, expect to pay 30% premium.

The more I watch of the YT video linked above the more all the other ebike manufacturers will be sh1ting themselves. Their tech is way superior around battery tech, power and motor mgmt.

 

12A charger that can charge to 0->70% in 1.5 hrs.....wtf?

charging batts at a lower rate is better for the pack long term usage.

 

at the end of the day unless a 3rd party like ebike motor centre can service the motor when warranty ends there throw away items.

However point is the motor they are demonstrating could be a huge disrupter for the current big manufacturers...no?

 

What do you think of the video/specs, have you found a price for what just the motor would cost?

I hope they've also come up with some bat shit crazy device to stop fcks from stealing it...like a 2inch military grade autonomous micro drone that launches from under the seat when the 360degree camera spots chavs in the vicinity and loudly plays opposing football team chants at them...

 

If they do grab the bike then you just send in the bigger drone that has rockets...

Nice bike but the DJI motor will have you all day long at traffic lights?

i dont have a speed limiter at 120rpm i can hit near 40mph on the flat , it has the equivalent to a 52t front chain ring and 10 at the rear 12 spd axs electric.
