What? Is someone considering a Dahon conversion?
I have a Dahon SUV D6 folding bike and was wondering if anyone has ever converted this bike to a peddle assist ebike?
I haven't converted a Dahon SUV D6, but I've converted a Dahon Helios P8:

...using a Bafang BBS01B mid-drive kit bought on Amazon.
If so any gotchas I need to look out for and what conversion kit did you use and are you happy with it?
I wish I'd removed the bottom bracket well before ordering the kit - this took hours of hammering to do so, because it's an old bike (April 2006); had completely stuck.
I hadn't discovered this forum, so I used this video as a guide:
I mounted the battery to the rear rack instead, to retain easy folding capability.
I'm very happy with the conversion! It does pretty much everything I need: ascends any hilly road, tows heavy bicycle trailers up said hills, folds, get me to work and (more importantly) gets me home. Powerful, nippy too. Quiet. That being said, I almost demanded a refund because the way power was applied was awful, but there's a programming cable and apps for that.
@saneagle has converted a Dahon Jetstream using a hub drive:
