I've just taken my new Dahon Matrix conversion for a test ride.
The bike is a 26" folder with 3x8 gearing and cable discs. It has been sitting in the garage with very little use for about 8 years since I changed jobs and stopped commuting by train every day.
The conversion is an Aikema 100sx hub with KT LCD4 and T06-s controller from TopBikeKit and a 13AH 36V X-go rack and battery from eBay. I built the hub into a Ryde Sputnik rim from Spa Cycles, as postage from China was a lot cheaper for a hub than a full wheel.
I've just been for a hilly 15 mile ride including a short section of 1:6. The bike performed great, with me only using PAS level 2 most of the time, and level 4 on the 1:6.
The battery showed 41.5V when I set off, as it was charged a couple of weeks ago and had done a couple of miles of testing since then. When I got home it was showing 39.8V, although did drop to 38.6 on the steep hill.
Overall I'm very pleased with it.
